FAQ

The Learning Management System (LMS) is The Nyamira National Polytechnic’s online learning platform. It enables trainees to access learning materials, participate in activities, submit assignments and receive feedback from their trainers.

The LMS supports classroom instruction, practical workshops and laboratory learning.

Click Log in at the top of the page and enter the username and password provided during your account setup.

If you have not received your login details, contact your trainer or the Office of the Systems Administrator for assistance.

Go to the login page →

On the login page, select Forgotten your username or password? and search using your username or registered email address.

If your account can be recovered through email, you will receive instructions. Check your spam folder as well.

If you cannot access your registered email or do not receive the instructions, contact the Office of the Systems Administrator.

After logging in, open My courses to view the learning units in which you are enrolled. Select a unit to access its materials, activities and assessments.

If an expected unit is missing, contact your trainer and provide your name, admission number, programme and the missing unit’s title.

Open My courses →

Access depends on the enrolment method set for each learning unit. Some units require enrolment by an authorised member of staff, while others may allow self-enrolment.

If an enrolment key is required, obtain it from your trainer. Do not share enrolment keys without permission.

Being able to view a course title does not automatically mean you are enrolled in that course.

Open the relevant learning unit and select the assignment. Read the instructions, deadline and accepted file formats.

  1. Select Add submission.
  2. Upload your file or enter your response, as instructed.
  3. Select Save changes.
  4. If a Submit assignment button appears, select it and complete the confirmation.

Check the submission status before leaving the page. A saved draft may still require final submission.

Yes. Open lms.nyamirapoly.ac.ke in your phone’s web browser and log in using your account details.

You need an internet connection. For large uploads, detailed documents or some practical activities, a computer may be easier to use.

Check that uploaded files are readable and that your submission has completed successfully.

Check your internet connection, refresh the page and confirm that you are logged in. You can also try an updated web browser.

If the problem continues, report the learning unit, activity name and exact error message to your trainer. Include a screenshot if possible, without exposing passwords or personal information.

Your trainer can refer technical problems to the Office of the Systems Administrator.

No. Completing an online activity or learning unit does not automatically award an institutional qualification or certificate.

Where a digital certificate is offered, your trainer will explain the eligibility requirements and completion conditions.

Official qualifications remain subject to the applicable training, assessment and certification requirements.

Contact the Systems Admin office at 0704700699 or via admin.systems@nyamirapoly.ac.ke
for login problems, course access issues, or other technical support.
